Background

People living with dementia in the community were likely to be disproportionately affected by COVID-10 measures. This project was a collaborative initiative with the Improving the Experience of Dementia and Enhancing Active Life (IDEAL) project, lead by the University of Exeter.

It aimed to support the circulation of key messages to people with dementia and carers during the pandemic period.

Aims and objectives

Identify the best ways to manage or mitigate the psychological and social impact of COVID-19 on people with dementia living in the community and their resident or non-resident primary (family) carers.
